Student's Review
by Erika Nelson, Concord, CA

I loved Sing, Spell, Read and Write! It was my favorite way to learn to read. I started when I was six and finished when I was seven. I liked the characters and the reading books. Mostly I liked the songs. I liked learning to spell the words in the workbook. I liked everything about it! It is why I have such nice handwriting now, and love to read, and have spelling improvement!

Teacher's Review
by Lisa Nelson, Concord, CA

We used Sing, Spell, Read and Write for our daughter, beginning halfway through 1st grade. She enjoyed it and did learn to read. We are planning to use it for her brother next year when he starts 1st grade. It does have them learn a great deal more spelling words that we think is reasonable. Toward the end of the program we did not feel it was necessary to spell things such as chartreuse or lieutenant! The songs make sounds easy to remember and the games are fun, too. Our son has enjoyed adapting the sound games, Pick a Sound from the Merry-go-round (like Go Fish) and Sound-O (like Bingo) to alphabet letter games. It is expensive, but we would buy it again.
