Deltora is a land of monsters and magic. Titles in the series are: The Forests of Silence, The Lake of Tears, City of the Rats, The Shifting Sands, Dread Mountain, The Maze of the Beast, The Valley of the Lost, and Return to Del.

In the series opener, The Forests of Silence, the evil Shadow Lord is just invaded and enslaved the land of Deltora and it's people. The Belt of Deltora with its seven stones is lost and must be found to save Deltora and rid the land of the Shadow Lord. The books have around 120-140 pages in each one.

These books have lots of adventure and they are exciting. There are seven adventures and the goal of each one is to acquire the stones until they have them all. The entire series kept me on the edge of my seat!
