Greater San Diego Academy |
Charter School |
| |
Greater San Diego Academy: where every moment is a learning opportunity. Our vision is to help every child develop the knowledge, talents and abilities to become a successful, contributing member of society by supporting families through personalized learning. We are a free, publicly funded charter school, working with families to provide curriculum, lesson plans, assessment, and additional activities to ensure the optimum education for each student. In our model of personalized learning, the parent is the primary educator. The responsibility for day-to-day teaching, monitoring of learning, assessment and modification of the curriculum belongs to the parent-teacher. The parent-teacher guides the student through the daily lessons, checking for understanding, and ensuring that the student has a proper environment for learning. Our credentialed educational consultants work in consultation format with the families we serve, monitoring student progress towards mastery of the California State Standards and helping families meet the individual social needs of the students.
